Policies

A range of policies are available for parents to consult before they join or contact school.

Charges will be made in accordance with the schools charging policy.

In brief:

  • Charges will be made for the board and lodging element of any activity, even if it is deemed to take place mainly within school hours.

  • No charges will normally be made for materials to be used in the course of lessons or the cost of transport in connection with an activity, which takes place within school hours and arises out of the curriculum.

  • For activities where charges may be made, voluntary contributions will be invited from parents. Students will not be prevented from taking part in the activity if parents do not make a contribution, but if the activity cannot be funded without voluntary contributions, the school reserves the right to cancel the activity.

  • The school reserves the right to recover entry fees for public examinations if a candidate fails to meet the equirements of the examination. The schools charges policy covers damage/loss to property. A charge may be levied in respect of wilful damage in certain prescribed circumstances.
